Agile, flexible and family friendly working - the issues and how to manage them

The way we work is changing.  The 9-5 slog is being replaced by agile and flexible working patterns designed to provide a work/life balance and assist with individual’s caring responsibilities.  This round-table discussion will examine some of the potentially difficult issues that arise and will offer practical approaches/solutions to dealing with them.
Some of the questions we’ll be discussing are: Q1: How do you create a flexible workforce? Changing terms and conditions and trial periods.   Q2: Does a culture of working long hours discriminate against certain groups of people?  Q3: Should you prioritise requests to work flexibly from those who have family responsibilities over those that don’t? Q4: Paid leave for childcare - do your policies discriminate against your male workforce? Q5: What special rights do pregnant women and those on maternity leave have and how long do these last?
Our round table discussions are popular because they are practical and interactive and give you the opportunity to discuss the issues you are facing with our team of expert employment lawyers and other experienced HR professionals.
Previous delegates have said that our sessions are “fantastic and informative” and over 90% rated our sessions as “excellent”.
