My client is a highly successful operator with an established & incredibly popular multi-faceted dining experience, offering freshly produced dishes using only the highest quality locally-sourced produce using local suppliers & only the finest ingredients. Whether it be a hearty breakfast, a light brunch, mouth-watering Sunday lunch or a selection of freshly made patisseries & delicious coffees, the operation has something for every palate.

Due to its consistent popularity & constantly evolving offering, the company have made the decision to appoint a Senior General Manager to head up the operation, reporting directly to the Managing Director & being an integral part of the business with a place on the Board.

The Role:

The venue has an existing Leadership Team with an Operations Manager who oversees the day-to-day running of the operation as well the direct management of a team of 100+ employees alongside a highly respected Head Chef and both roles will report into the successful candidate.

The Senior General Manager will be inspiring & will act as a leader, motivating & driving the team to success. They will have the entrepreneurial skill & vision to develop, plan & implement a business strategy to improve & develop the offering and customer experience even further, building on the venue’s existing success to drive revenue up to its full potential.

The successful candidate will have the experience & attributes to inspire the team to exceed both financial & non-financial targets.

The ability to lead, motivate & develop the Leadership Team and HODs is extremely important & the Senior General Manager will ensure that all areas of the business, both front & back of house are delivering a consistent diverse range of hot & cold dishes & drinks, presented to the highest standards,  alongside incredible service.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience of working as a Senior General Manager or Multi-site Manager who has ran a multi-faceted dining venue, stadia catering experience, a busy quality food hall background or has prestigious high-end contract catering experience.
  • Used to being hands-on in the running of multiple operations or a large multi-faceted dining operation.
  • We will NOT consider candidates who have been working with a high street brand OR have a bar- based background.
  • Happy to be hands-on and get stuck into the business – this is not an office-based role.
  • People-orientated & a strong communicator with the ability to build relationships & interact with your team & board members alike.
  • Self-motivated, well-organised & driven, leading by example at all times.
  • A visionary – someone who is excited by the opportunity. A people-orientated senior manager who can motivate the team and take them on a journey, getting them on-side to initially get the basics consistently right whilst being able to see the possibilities longer term.
  • Someone who is full of new ideas, who can see the potential & can use their experience to assess the current offering, customers’ ever-changing demands and make suggestions to the Board with ways of improving the offering & customer journey.
  • Experience of working in a busy, high volume environment, running multiple offerings and a large team, working in collaboration with all key stakeholders across the business with the ability to make consistent, fair decisions, even under pressure.
  • The ability to constantly review the business to ensure the operation is ahead of the competition, putting together a strategy to deliver the current dining offering ensuring it is compliant in all food, health & safety and employment requirements, whilst working towards a future hospitality & catering operation which is market-leading.
  • Commercially astute with proven budget management experience.
  • Well-presented with a warm, welcoming personality.

 

Salary & Benefits:

This role is key to the business and the starting salary is up to £65,000. There is also a £5000 car allowance and bonus structure plus a seat on the Board. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person. If you feel you have the relevant experience then please send your CV.
