Our client, a highly regarded hospitality operator, are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Finance Manager with a strong hospitality background for a hospitality operator in Liverpool City Centre.

They are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to join their management team to look after the day-to-day operational running of the finance department and with their wealth of experience give strategic guidance to the General Manager of the property. We are looking for someone who is who has the patience and interest in training a small team to develop their financial skills as well as working closely with the General Manager to get them where they need to be. The company is diverse and despite being a larger business, has a nice family feel. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong ambitious Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Management Accountant with a strong background in hotels to really make their mark working for a well-known and strong reputable operator.

The role itself will involve preparing management accounts, overseeing stock, wages, expenses and working as a consultant to the property, acting in an advisory capacity to the General Manager, working with them to get them where they need to be, setting targets and also reporting back.

REQUIREMENTS:

Background of working as a Finance Manager, Assistant/Financial Controller or Management Accountant for a hospitality operator. A full accountancy qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA or CIPFA. A background in finance with a restaurant, bar, pub, hotel or leisure operator We are looking for someone who appreciates what the company are doing & what they will be getting out of the role & still sees it as a challenge. Very hands on and happy to work with vibrant forward-thinking management team. A good communicator, teacher & coach Energetic & motivational The patience & ability to work with General Managers to set targets to get them on track, monitor progress & report back. Strong IT Skills (i.e. Sage 50, Procure Wizard, Micros Symphony, Alchemy, Opera Cloud) The desire to work for a company that will give you the freedom to make your mark Commercially astute & articulate
