Hotel General Manager - Highly Regarded Hotel Operator
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £90,000 + 20% Bonus + Fantastic Benefits

** You MUST have a minimum 6 years experience as Hotel General Manager working for a large national hotel operator. With this being a new opening, pre-openings experience would be highly advantageous. Due to the level of experience required, first appointments will not be considered for this role. **

Our client, a large stylish hotel operation, is looking for a highly-experienced, hands-on, Hotel General Manager with pre-openings experience to assist in the running of their exciting new property opening in South Yorkshire. With stylish rooms, chic interiors, a stunning food and beverage operation, multi-functional conference and events spaces, not to forget amazing facilities, this property will certainly be the talk of the region and will generate a large buzz as the new addition to the the leading hotel market.

As this is a hands-on General Manager role and key hire that will be a vital part in the success of this property, we are looking for a strong commercially driven General Manager who build, lead and grow the business to huge success leading from the front whilst motivating and getting the best out of each department. You will have very strong leadership and management skills, have a good business/financial acumen and as a strong motivator be able to get the most out of your team at all times. Not only you will be fully responsible for day-to-day management of the entire operation; you will also be the face of the business and be responsible for driving the culture within the business - therefore personality is key!
You report directly to the board of directors and be fully accountable for the entire property. With the support of a Hotel Operations Manager and a Head of Food & Beverage Services key direct reports, you will also be responsible each department runs smoothly whilst maximising sales through mentoring via your reports to HODs and staff on all levels.

Required Experience:
* 6 years' minimum solid hands-on General Manager experience working for a large national hotel operator.
* A solid, commercially driven business manager with a strong financial acumen.
* Strong leadership and people management skills with experience of driving a successful internal culture.
* Pre-openings experience would be advantageous.
* The ability to communicate on all levels including board level.
* As the face of the business you must have a warm and friendly personality, be fun, passionate, charismatic, enthusiastic, people-focused and adaptable to all personalities.
* Be a great communicator - excellent at developing relationships with a large team and others involved.

* Have an understanding of the South Yorkshire market in which the business will operate within

* You must have full eligibility to work in the UK to be considered for this position.
