Salary: £41,250 + £2,000-3,000 Service Charge + Temporary live-in available + Fantastic Benefits

Our client, a stunning and iconic luxury country house hotel operation, is looking for a highly skilled, hands-on, passionate and creative Head Chef with strong quality fresh food experience to assist in the running of their popular operation based in the New Forest area of Hampshire. With their impressive offerings showcasing their collection of mouth-watering dishes created from fresh locally sourced seasonal produce, this operation offers a true taste of Hampshire from field to fork. Not only are they well-known for their high-end brasserie, gastro pub and afternoon teas, the property also regularly hosts functions including luxury weddings and events.

You will be a natural leader with a huge passion for creating high-end dishes from locally sourced seasonal produce and get a real kick out of coaching, motivating and developing your team leading them on to even greater success! You will have a talent for driving brigades of chefs increasing quality and consistency, sales and revenue. You will need an organised and consultative approach, have a good business and financial acumen, all whilst ensuring that customer satisfaction and quality standards are of paramount priority.

You should hold your brigade's progression as paramount to their continued growth as a team and as individuals, which can only help the business to thrive. Required Experience:

  • Solid hands-on Head Chef experience in a high-end, fresh food kitchen (ideally previous rosette-level experience).
  • Excellent fresh food knowledge and a passion for locally sourced produce.
  • A creative flare and experience of creating seasonal dishes from scratch.
  • Experience of leading, motivating, training and developing a team of different personalities, levels of creativity and skillsets.
  • Strong financial knowledge (GPs, revenue, quality/portion control) or at least a knowledge of the impact it has on the business
  • Experience of managing a smaller brigade 
  • A great personality - fun, passionate, charismatic, enthusiastic, people-focused and adaptable to all personalities.
  • A great communicator - excellent at developing relationships with the kitchen team, front of house team, senior management and others involved
