Hours: 40 Hours (4 days out of 7)

Hesketh James are recruiting for a hands-on, talented and dynamic Conference & Banqueting Manager for a breathtakingly beautiful, award-winning historical hotel and wedding venue in the Stockton area. This truly iconic property attracts visitors from afar and wide for luxury staycations, quality dining, amazing spa facilities, not to forget their extremely busy weddings and events business. You will be responsible the day-to-day running of a busy conference and banqueting operation with regular events including weddings, conferences, private functions and smaller events. This is an exciting role in a truly breathtaking venue and you will be joining a brilliant team and forward-thinking company with great potential for future development.

The role:

  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of the conference and banqueting operation.
  • Plan, organise, and execute conferences, banquets, and other events from start to finish
  • Ensure service standards are met across all operations with no room for error.
  • Recruit, train, lead and motivate your team to ensure the execution of the events are seamless and exceed guest expectations.

The Candidate:

  • Proven Conference and Banqueting management experience within a similar hotel or events venue environment.
  • You will be able to show excellent leadership skills, attention to detail and high-level customer service skills.
  • Proven experience in conference and banqueting management within a hotel or similar setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for liaising with clients, vendors, and staff#
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in event planning
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
