Roe: Deputy General Manager / Hotel Operations Manager
Location: Bristol
Salary: £45k – £60k (dependent on level of experience)
We are recruiting for a dynamic and passionate Deputy General Manager to lead the Hotel Operations of a large 4 star hotel in the Bristol area.
Guest service and customer satisfaction will be at the heart of this role, alongside exceptional leadership and a passion for training, development and direction of a large team.
The role:
- Leadership and direction over all key operational departments (Food and Beverage, Conference & Events, Housekeeping, Reception, Spa and Leisure) ensuring the highest levels of guest experience is provided
- Working closely with the General Manager, and Senior Leadership Team, to deliver the operational and sales strategy for the hotel
- Support, coaching and leadership of Heads of Department in their roles and across recruitment, team retention, training and development
- Financial focus including regular P&L reviews with Heads of departments, report writing, creation and delivery of action plans.
The ideal candidate:
We are looking for an experienced Deputy General Manager or Hotel Operations Manager who has led a team within a large hotel environment.
You will have strong experience within the food and beverage department of a hotel operation
You will have a ‘People focused approach’ and proven leadership skills with a genuine passion for training and development of people
A genuine passion for Guest Service and the ability to drive and deliver an Exceptional customer journey across departments.
You will have a Commercial mindset and thorough understanding of the hotels industry and market place, being aware of the challenges and opportunities.
Skilled in delegation, organisation and multi-tasking is essential.
The role of Deputy General Manager covers a number of departments in which you will develop your teams, mentoring and driving a strong commercial culture whilst offering the very best guest experience to all.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Deputy General Manager or Hotel Operations Manager role in min. 4 Star Hotels is essential.
