Hesketh James Recruitment are proud to be working with a growing and highly respected service-led business in Manchester City Centre to recruit an organised and proactive Administrator.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the centre of a busy operation, keeping things moving, solving problems and delivering a first-class service to both clients and internal teams.

This is far more than a standard admin role.

You’ll be the key link between customers, engineers, suppliers and the wider operations team — helping to coordinate reactive works, manage enquiries, monitor job progress and ensure everything runs efficiently behind the scenes.

The Opportunity

Joining an established and supportive team, you’ll play an important part in the day-to-day running of the service function, acting as the first point of contact for incoming requests and helping to ensure work is scheduled, tracked and completed smoothly.

Your day could involve handling incoming calls and emails, raising purchase orders, liaising with subcontractors, updating internal systems, tracking live jobs and supporting the wider team with operational admin.

This is a role where attention to detail, organisation and communication are absolutely key.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous administration experience in a busy office environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Confidence working with systems and handling live operational updates

Experience within facilities management, maintenance or service-led environments would be an advantage, but is not essential.
