Hesketh James Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with an exciting and fast-growing leisure and events business in the South West to recruit a Marketing Operations & Performance Manager.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially minded marketing professional who loves the numbers, systems and performance side of marketing just as much as the creative.
Our client is an established, high-volume visitor attraction and events business with a packed calendar of major seasonal campaigns and experiences, attracting significant footfall and driving strong consumer engagement throughout the year. With an ambitious growth plan in place, they are now looking for someone who can strengthen the operational and performance side of their marketing function.
This is a newly created role and will play a key part in helping the business make smarter, faster and more profitable marketing decisions.
Working alongside an existing creative and content team, your focus will be on the engine room of marketing — paid media, analytics, reporting, attribution, systems and conversion. You’ll be the person connecting the dots between marketing activity and revenue, helping the business understand what’s working, what’s not, and where the biggest opportunities sit.
You’ll take ownership of paid campaigns across Google and Meta, constantly refining targeting, improving performance and maximising return on spend. At the same time, you’ll oversee the wider marketing infrastructure — from GA4 and Tag Manager through to ticketing integrations, tracking and reporting — ensuring the business has full visibility across the customer journey.
A big part of the role will be around improving commercial performance. Whether that’s increasing ticket conversion, improving campaign timing, reducing drop-off points or building better performance dashboards, your work will directly influence revenue growth and marketing effectiveness.
This role would suit someone who is naturally curious, analytical and commercially switched on — someone who enjoys asking the right questions:
- What’s driving ticket sales?
- Where are customers dropping out?
- How can budgets work harder?
- Which campaigns deliver the best return?
- What small changes could create significant commercial gains?
You’ll ideally have strong hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4 and Google Tag Manager, alongside a proven track record in performance marketing and reporting. Experience within leisure, attractions, hospitality, events or e-commerce would be highly advantageous, but not essential.
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys working independently, taking ownership, and turning marketing data into clear actions and measurable results.
In return, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and exciting business where your work will have real visibility, influence and impact.
