Food & Beverage Manager
Location: Carlisle
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + Tronc
We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and passionate Food & Beverage Manager to join a fantastic team within a high-quality hospitality operation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious F&B professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional service and enjoys leading a busy, high-quality restaurant, bar, events and functions operation.
The Role
As Food & Beverage Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running and performance of the F&B operation, providing strong leadership and ensuring consistently high standards across every area of the department.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the Food & Beverage team, including recruitment, training, coaching and ongoing development.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, bars, functions and events.
- Setting and maintaining consistently high service and operational standards.
- Leading from the front and acting as the face of the F&B operation, ensuring an exceptional guest experience at all times.
- Working closely with Heads of Department to achieve key business objectives and KPIs.
- Managing departmental budgets, costs and profitability, with a strong focus on GP, sales and profit targets.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, revenue and the overall guest experience.
- Creating a positive team culture where employees feel supported, motivated and encouraged to develop.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager with a strong background within a quality hotel or hospitality environment.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in a Food & Beverage management role within a quality hotel or hospitality operation.
- Experience managing restaurants, bars and high-volume service environments.
- Experience overseeing functions and events is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills, with a genuine passion for developing and motivating teams.
- Strong commercial and business acumen, including experience with P&L, GP, cost control, budgets and sales and profit targets.
- A hands-on, guest-focused approach with the confidence to lead from the front.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering consistently high standards.
