Proactive Sales & Marketing Manager – Stylish Restaurant & Bar Operation
Location: Manchester
Salary: £30,000-35,000 (depending on experience) + Bonus + Company Benefits
Hours: Full time (Monday to Friday)

Our client, a stylish restaurant and bar operation is looking for an experienced, hands-on and passionate Sales & Marketing Manager with strong proactive sales experience to join their fantastic, friendly and well-established team. With an extensive menu showcasing their collection of mouth-watering dishes created from freshly sourced produce, not to mention their highly tempting cocktails; this operation boasts a nice mix of clientele ranging from the city’s sophisticated drinkers and diners to visitors from afar and wide.

The key objectives of this role are to build brand awareness and boost sales as a result of proactive sales and effective marketing. Therefore, we are looking for a target-driven, commercially minded and creative Sales & Marketing Manager to promote the business and continuously grow the client base.

As Sales & Marketing Manager you will be a natural people person, well-presented, confident, with a strong passion for hospitality. The venue also hosts events and being centrally based, is surrounded by so many potential corporate clients to approach – making this a perfect opportunity for a proactive sales manager who loves building new relationships. It also offers the opportunity to hold events to attract potential clients. With that in mind, you will get a real kick out of selling the venue’s offerings from food and drink to events from the point of initial contact, all the way through to booking and aftercare; all whilst ensuring that standards are maintained at the highest level. The aim is to build and maintain strong client relationships all whilst growing the client base.

You will need to be extremely organised, have a talent for not only selling but maintaining strong relationships delivering high quality customer service. You will need an enthusiastic, genuine and consultative approach, have a good business and financial acumen all whilst ensuring that customer satisfaction and quality standards are of paramount priority. The fantastic reputation and impeccable service are key to the success of the operation. With this in mind, you should be a strong representative for the business. As this is a hands-on role, you will understand the importance of fully understanding the needs of your clients, managing their expectations and enjoy the buzz of selling the business and its offerings. In terms of marketing, you will need to be tech and social media savvy with strong digital marketing experience. Market presence and brand awareness is key, therefore you must also have a creative flair when it comes to creating digital campaigns and also events to attract prospective clients (e.g. open days, networking events).

Required Experience:

  • Solid proactive Sales Manager experience working for a busy restaurant and bar operator.
  • Strong marketing experience including digital marketing and social media with a creative approach and good exposure to various marketing tools.
  • A commercially driven and target driven individual that thrives on forming new business relationships and understands the impact it has on the business
  • A great personality - fun, passionate, charismatic, enthusiastic, people-focused and adaptable to all personalities.
  • Strong organisational skills, time management and attention to detail
  • A great communicator - excellent at developing relationships with the hosting team, front of house team, senior management and others involved.
