Meeting & Event Sales Manager – 12-Month FTC
Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: £37,460 + Fantastic Benefits inc. additional annual leave, meals on duty, staff discounts and amazing progression opportunities
Hours: 40 Hours per week

We’re seeking an ambitious Meeting & Event Sales Manager to join a highly regarded Manchester City Centre property on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where your M&E sales expertise, leadership skills, and passion for events will directly drive results. You will be providing support to senior hotel management team managing enquiries from initial contact to contract, negotiating profitable agreements, building lasting client relationships, and ensure seamless event delivery whilst reporting into the Director of Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue by proactively selling meetings and events, including upselling opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, converting enquiries into confirmed bookings.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat and local business.
  • Lead, support, and develop your team, setting high standards and best practice.
  • Keep accurate records, reporting, and forecasting to ensure pipeline visibility.
  • Assist with wider hotel sales initiatives and contribute to business growth strategies.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Meetings & Events Sales Manager or similar role.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a proven track record of achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Customer-focused, proactive, and able to identify new business opportunities.
  • Experience in Opera or hospitality is desirable but not essential.
